I have worked closely with Secureix Technologies founder Terence Dean on a number of high profile projects. Prior to Terence being engaged, these projects were in danger of not delivering the expected benefits. They were over budget and the implementers were asking for significant increases in budget to deliver what they had been contracted to.Terence quickly analysed the situation and prepared a plan of how to deliver the projects successfully. He then implemented the solution within the agreed time frame and budget. It is my belief that the original implementation team would not have delivered if they had been re-engaged.Terence demonstrated both a highly professional capability, across the business, technology and ongoing support of the environments he was responsible for. I have worked with Secureix Technologies founder Terence while Aegis Global to assist our Data Center consolidation program. As lead solution architect Terence worked with me, the project manager to develop a complete VDI environment for Aegis that included all 6500 users globally connected to the primary and backup data centres in the US.The project spanned three months and Terence produced the entire architecture in 30 days, ahead of schedule. We implemented this design with no impact to all of Aegis global customers that utilized the call centre infrastructure It was a pleasure to work with him in this capacity, I would recommend Terence for any large scale projects requiring proven expertise in Cyber Security, Business Continuity Management, Risk Management and mission-critical projects.
I have had the pleasure of working with Terence Dean (Senior Architect) in 2013-2014 on the Data Centre Uplift project, Terence is well known for large scale and complex implementations.We were performing a major upgrade of our network infrastructure of Application Delivery Controllers/Load balancers Network Firewalls and Core Network switches across two data centres. This included traffic flows between the data centres providing enhanced resilience upon physical failures. All of this would then transition to our operational support staff.The Application Delivery Controller/Load Balancer design required a physical upgrade, including virtualisation. There were several design flaws identified as well as functionality not performing as expected which were remediated as part of the pre-implementation /verification phase. The design was created separately by other personnel prior to Terence's engagement for the implementation. An extensive test and failure regime was undertaken by Terence in conjunction with our network staff to validate/ verify functionality and capability before migration to the new infrastructure occurred, which was over an extended weekend when the new infrastructure and updated design were successfully implemented.As expected due to our complex environment there were some post-implementation issues where we needed to ascertain the root cause of the issue/s and decide on the best solution. Most issues were not related to Terence's area of engagement, but end-to-end investigation/ facilitation and isolation was essential for the multi-skilled team across the various technologies. Thus Terence was instrumental in providing business guidance and recommendations, which were adopted minimising the service impacts and ensuring ongoing operational support.Personally, I would have no hesitation recommending Terence as he was a trusted adviser who significantly contributed to our success in 2013/2014
